Our April meeting will take place next Tuesday evening, April, 2, 2024 at 7:15 p.m. It will be a Zoom only meeting.

  1. Confirm plans for April cleanup. John Mordes will be out of town that day.
    1. The DCR has organized Park Serve Day happening on April 20th.

      In the link, please note some events are happening on alternative dates from April 20th.

    2. We are not listed. I have written to the organizer.
  2. DCR plans to host a tour of the Stone Building in May to discuss the planned building improvements, provide the public an opportunity to view the interior, and share some information about the history of the building.
    1. The Friends have been asked to participate
  3. There will be another walking tour of Hemlock Gorge on June 9 from 10 to 12 with Katherine Howard and myself.
    1. Should the Friends invest in a set of “Whispers”, a microphone and set of ear pieces that let a tour guide be heard easily by persons on the tour?
      I think it would be a good use of our funds.
  4. Complaints about graffiti on the building hear the mill dam we brought up last time.
    Any progress?

    1. Paul Roberts and Evan are spearheading the design the design and selection of a vendor.
    2. Hope to be a gift from the Scouts.
