The Friends 43rd Annual Fall Cleanup took place on an absolutely gorgeous morning on Saturday October 28, 2023. The skies were nearly cloudless and the temperature amazingly reached 80 degrees. We had a total of 32 volunteers including about a dozen from the Cub Scout pack that we sponsor. The park overall was pretty clean, but there were, incredibly, two tires and some heavy metal pipes and a bag of bentonite  brought in. At the end of the work, many of us enjoyed lunch together at the Stone Building. The combination of the weather, the number of volunteers, and shared good spirits made this one of our most successful and memorable cleanups.
