The Friends of Hemlock Gorge

The Friends and the DCR  again extend their thanks to the small but dedicated group of volunteers who helped with the cleanup on a gorgeous spring day. There was a large amount of debris this time. Everyone's efforts were much appreciated.

As always, we also send a big thank you to Seanna, Bob and everyone at Dunn Gaherins, 344 Elliott St, Newton, MA 617-527-6271 for providing a terrific lunch of sandwiches and drinks. These were provided to volunteers at no charge to the Friends!

Volunteers met under cloudy and sometimes rainy skies but had a great and productive time. A highlight of the day was the assembly of two picnic benches purchased by the Friends and house in the Stone Building. These made our post-cleanup luncheon a special pleasure. Photo album to follow shortly. Special thanks again to Dunn-Gaherin's for providing a delicious lunch and to all our volunteers. Your help was VERY much appreciated!.
