Through the medium of the World Wide Web, inconceivable to most of the people of whom we have spoken, we have led you back through time for a closer look at a little village known as Upper Falls. It is still but a brief and hurried look, and we are aware that in this quick moment between the opening and the closing of the door to yesterday some may not have 'seen' the things they knew were there. We share this regret with you, that many interesting events and facts are not recorded here, but almost four centuries is a long period to cover and time must always retain some of its secrets. And perhaps this work may serve as an inspiration for others to record some day a continuation of the Upper Falls story.
Once again I thank all those who assisted me in making this book possible.
